Jennifer is kind, compassionate and POSITIVE. Her lessons are comprehensive, thorough and detailed. She trains from the ground systematically, targeting seat and position and the correct use/sequence of the aids to affect the movement of your horse. She teaches about theory, the training pyramid and biomechanics of the horse/rider partnership and stresses the geometry of the ring! Finally she is able to prepare me and my horse to perform in the ring “through the eyes of a judge”. I actually think my horse “ZZ“ has a crush on her!

After receiving instruction at a hunter/jumper barn Emily, age 10, had lost interest in riding lessons because she was bored with the instruction and losing confidence. Jennifer put her on the longe line and focused on her seat and connection with the horse. Jennifer’s teaching style combined with the steadiness of her school horse, Kalista, helped Emily’s confidence and position improve exponentially after just a few lessons. Now she looks forward to riding again.

I have thoroughly enjoyed riding with Jennifer. She has rekindled my enthusiasm for this sport as well as my desire to learn. Under her no nonsense teaching style, we’ve made tremendous progress with my FEI schoolmaster as well as my 2nd level horse. Jennifer is able to identify weaknesses in both the rider and the horse and devise a program to remedy those weaknesses. For several years I had struggled with my 2nd level horse being uninspired and dull, simply not responding to the leg or whip. I had tried a plethora of fixes but after just a couple of lessons with Jennifer, it was as if I had a different horse. Jennifer quickly recognized where the issues lie and provided straightforward guidance to correcting them. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results.
