It has been my pleasure to take instruction from Jennifer. She is genuinely there for the horse and pupil. She skillfully improves riders at all levels, and she has personally made great improvements in my position and in my horses’ gaits, balance and suppleness.

Jennifer teaches from a judge’s perspective; this is so valuable in an instructor. As her student of over 20 years, I still hear her coaching as I head down the center-line to ride a test. Jennifer focuses on the basics, working directly off the training scale. I have earned my USDF Bronze and Silver Medals and my CDS Ruby and Sapphire gem awards with Jennifer’s support and instruction. Since Jennifer moved to North Carolina I’ve been sending her videos of my tests and having phone lessons—my scores immediately went up!

Jennifer is an effective communicator, and ensures that her students understand how and why an exercise improves the horse’s way of going. She has a way of taking you outside of your comfort zone, while keeping you completely comfortable! I am so thankful for the time that I’ve spent with her, and I am envious of those who are close enough to work with her on a daily basis. Those that ride with Jennifer surely benefit from her years of experience as a trainer, coach and judge.
